Send a drawing.

The useful answer to "can you make this?" is a number, and the number comes off the drawing. Everything below is what a real deployment of this template would wire up.

Neither of these reaches anybody. The domain is reserved by RFC 2606 and can never resolve, and the number is not allocated — they are here so the layout is real, not so the contact is.

What to send with an enquiry

  • The drawing, as PDF, with tolerances and surface finish called out.
  • The model, as STEP — a 2D print alone cannot be quoted for a 5-axis part.
  • Material and heat treatment, or the standard the part has to meet.
  • Annual quantity and batch size. The same part is a different price at 50 and at 5,000.
  • Whether it is a new part or a transfer, and if a transfer, what is going wrong with it now.
A meeting room looking through glazing into the production hall, a component and a drawing on the table.

What a real deployment adds

Three things, none of which belong in a public showcase:

  • A form posting to a PHP endpoint on the customer’s own host, with an upload field for STEP and PDF and a size cap.
  • Real routing — sales, quality and recruitment as separate addresses, so an RFQ does not sit in a shared inbox.
  • A consent gate on anything that leaves the visitor’s browser, and a privacy policy that matches what the endpoint actually stores.
